Are You The One?' Contestant Alexis Eddy Died From Drug Overdose, Grandma Says_1

Alexis Eddy from the hit MTV show ‘Are You The One?’ died Thursday, and now the reality star’s grandmother tells RadarOnline.com exclusively the cause of death was an overdose.

According to Eddy’s grandma, Carol Efaw, her granddaughter succumbed to addiction early Thursday morning, on January 9, 2020.

“My son and daughter-in-law are devastated,” Efaw, 68, said. “Alexis was a lost soul.”

“Those shows mess up kids,” Efaw added, claiming the MTV reality show encouraged her addiction.

Eddy took to Instagram in the last several months to show people her recovery process. Just in September, she posted a photo alongside her dad, Dinzell, with the caption:

“Here’s the first picture of my father and me, both sober and healthy, we’ve ever been blessed enough to take.
Overwhelmed with gratefulness today”

“It was an OD,” her grandmother claimed as she held tears back. “She caught a hold of it again.”

“She is not hurting anymore at least.”

Eddy was 23 years old.
