Is Khloe Kardashian really begging Kate Beckinsale to help her find a boyfriend? That's what one of the tabloids is reporting. Gossip Cop can set the record straight.
According to the National Enquirer, the reality star is impressed with how many "conquests" the actress has racked up following her 2016 split from director Len Wiseman. Beckinsale has dated a few younger men following her breakup, including Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson and comedian Jack Whitehall. "Khloe sees Kate as an empowered woman," a supposed source tells the magazine. "She admires the way Kate conducts herself and how she has men eating out of her hand."
The alleged insider says Kardashian reached out to the actress about helping her find a partner for her first real relationship following her split from Tristan Thompson. "Kate has a whole list of guys for her – and Khloe's totally down for the introductions and Kate's advice," adds the questionable tipster.
The tabloid's report is very random, as the two women don't appear to know each other very well. It seems this story was made up because Kardashian and Beckinsale attended the same Christmas party in Los Angeles earlier this month. The reality star and the actress may cross paths living in Hollywood, but Kardashian presumably has closer friends who would play matchmaker for her.
Gossip Cop reached out to a source close to the situation, who confirms the outlet's report is fabricated. Kardashian never asked Beckinsale for her matchmaking services. This idea of a celebrity helping another famous person find love is a recurring theme in the tabloids. Earlier this month, we busted the Enquirer’s sister outlet, OK!, for making up a story about Bradley Cooper being set up on dates by Sienna Miller.
In October, Gossip Cop called out Star – another sister publication – for falsely claiming Nicole Kidman was setting up Charlize Theron with one of Keith Urban's friends. In June, that same tabloid insisted Leonardo DiCaprio was "playing cupid" for Brad Pitt. And in March, OK! wrongly reported that Malin Akerman was helping Jon Hamm find a girlfriend. None of those bogus scenarios played out.
Those aforementioned stories are just a few examples of this ongoing narrative. In those cases, however, the two stars at the center of the article were actually pals. Kardashian and Beckinsale don't seem to have much of a connection – aside from going to the same holiday party.
